Lightweight Aluminum Roofing Coil: Weight and Coverage

PPGI.LTD supplies lightweight aluminum roofing coil. Aluminum is lighter than steel at the same size. The roof profile changes the final coverage. We calculate both values from your real order.

How Much Does the Aluminum Sheet Weigh?

Thickness and width change the weight. The alloy also makes a small difference.

Send us the alloy, thickness, width, and coil weight. We will calculate the sheet weight and coil length. The Aluminum Association’s building guide explains why aluminum is used as a lightweight material.

How Much Roof Will One Coil Cover?

The finished panel is narrower than the flat coil. Seams and ribs use part of the metal.

We can match the alloy and paint to the panel. The engineer must confirm the thickness and supports. The Metal Construction Association’s clip guide explains why roof attachment is system-specific.

Buyer Concern & FAQ

Is aluminum roofing always lighter than PPGL?

PPGL is aluminum-zinc-coated steel. At the same size, aluminum is lighter. The final roof still depends on thickness and profile.

How do you calculate coil length?

We use the alloy, thickness, width, and coil weight. Actual production weight confirms the final result.

Is aluminum roofing completely rustproof?

It does not form red rust like carbon steel. It can still corrode in poor conditions.

Can you choose the roof thickness for me?

We can compare material options. The roof designer must confirm the structural thickness and supports.
