AFP mainly controls visible touch marks and cleaning. Outdoor corrosion resistance comes from the full substrate, pretreatment, paint, edges, and design.
Do indoor and outdoor HVAC housings use the same steel?
Not always. Outdoor exposure can require a different substrate or coating system. We review the two housings separately.
Is a fixed salt-spray result guaranteed?
No. Test results depend on the product, method, sample, and acceptance rule. They also do not equal outdoor service life.
