RoHS Compliant PCM Steel Coil No Heavy Metals
PPGI.LTD supports RoHS and REACH checks for PCM steel with product-specific records. RoHS and REACH do not mean the same thing. We help buyers match the target market, material records, and current reports.

Which Market and Substance Rules Apply?
Start with the finished product and destination market.
| Question | Why it matters | Buyer record |
|---|---|---|
| What product is sold? | Rules can depend on product scope | Finished product description |
| Where is it sold? | Market rules differ | Destination market |
| Which substances matter? | RoHS and REACH use different logic | Restricted list |

The European Commission RoHS overview page covers restrictions for electrical and electronic equipment. The European Commission REACH overview page explains the wider chemicals framework.
Can You Trace Each Material in the PCM System?
The document package should follow the actual coating build.
| Material step | Record to match | Do not accept |
|---|---|---|
| Pretreatment | Supplier declaration or report | Generic plant claim |
| Primer and topcoat | Actual paint system record | Unrelated formula |
| Substrate and back coat | Order material identity | Different sample |
We can collect available records for the proposed product. Hexavalent-chromium, lead, or heavy-metal claims are not copied across every PCM order.
Does the Test Report Match the Product and Order?
Read the report scope before accepting the claim.
| Report field | Check | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Sample name | Matches the supplied material | Avoid wrong product |
| Method and laboratory | Clear and traceable | Know what was tested |
| Date and batch scope | Current enough for the order | Avoid stale evidence |
We can provide the available report or declaration for the actual material. The buyer remains responsible for the finished product and market decision.
Buyer Concern & FAQ
What documents can support RoHS compliance for PCM steel?
Use current reports or declarations that match the actual substrate, pretreatment, primer, topcoat, back coat, and product scope.
Is every PCM coil hexavalent-chromium-free?
No. Check the actual pretreatment and supplier declaration. Do not apply one statement to all PCM products.
Does a heavy-metal test also prove REACH compliance?
No. A heavy-metal test covers named substances and methods. REACH has a wider and different legal framework.
How long can an old test report be used?
There is no single period for every case. Review product changes, supplier changes, current rules, and buyer requirements.
